Full Job Description

Chase and Holland specialise in the recruitment of Finance and HR staff. The 2 founding Directors have over 15 years experience in specialist recruitment and have a team that have also worked within the industry. Our portfolio of clients varies from FTSE 100 organisations to small and medium sized enterprises. We are currently recruiting for a number of businesses that are looking for candidates with finance backgrounds who are seeking their next opportunity.

Our client is a national business services organisation. They are constantly developing themselves so as to provide an excellent service for their customers.

A role has been created for a permanent credit controller. The major part of the role will be chasing outstanding debt via the phone.

As part of the role you will;

- Liaise with inside and outside parties to ensure that cases have progressed to completion
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships clients
- Set up and monitor sub contractor and purchase orders
- Support sales staff in the collection of policy excess
- Check all cases are processed correctly and that all invoices match against the system and authorise the payment as appropriate
- Highlight any issues to managers
- Ensure timely collection of cash, and that credit control procedures are performed to meet KPI's
- Liaise with accounts payable as appropriate to ensure timely and accurate payment to sub-contractors
- Assist in the production of reports as required
- Maintain a high quality customer focus to both internal and external parties

You will have had exposure within a credit control environment or will have dealt with customers via the telephone.

The right candidate will be used to working in an organised and professional manner. Good communication skills are essential so as to build relationships with clients and communicate with them before money is owed, so as to eliminate any outstanding debt.
