Full Job Description
Chase and Holland specialise in the recruitment of HR and Finance staff. The 2 founding Directors have over 15 years experience in specialist recruitment and have a team that have also worked within the industry. Our portfolio of clients varies from FTSE 100 organisations to small and medium sized enterprises. We are currently recruiting for a number of businesses that are looking for candidates with HR backgrounds who are seeking their next opportunity.
We are working with a reputable Chesterfield business who have a newly created position for an HR Officer. This role will give you exposure to a number of different HR duties and you will work as part of a small cohesive HR team.
It is envisaged that your day to day duties will include the following:
Recruitment of staff for any number of given sites including in some cases conducting first round interviews
Maintain the disciplinary/grievance procedure including sitting in on initial employee cases
Assist in the production of new policies and procedures all relating to employee relations and welfare
Take active part in performance/appraisal process
This role requires a pragmatic individual who has worked within a generalist HR position and can work within a changing environment. This is a really good time to join the business as a lot of HR based projects will commence over the summer period and your role will allow you to have a strong involvement in these.
On offer is parking, a pension and working hours are 37.5 per week
