Full Job Description
Ideal candidate will have a good sense of humour, be flexible, willing to travel around the business when required, highly organised and motivated, calm under pressure, well presented, effective communicator, self starter – works on own initiative, finisher, assertive, sound judgement/common sense.
Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the location and support service, through the effective and efficient management of staff, facilities, services and location expenditure. To proactively initiate, develop and improve operational procedures and the standards of services provided, in line with the objectives of the business. Contribute to the development and implementation of local and Entec-wide initiatives. Co-ordinate and implement policy.
*Typically 5 years’ plus experience in a senior administrative (including secretarial) role within a large organisation, preferably an engineering/environmental consultancy.
Proven capability in:
* Office management – H&S assessing and minimising hazards, Workstation Assessments, co-ordinating and implement policy/procedures;
* Staff management – conducting Professional Development Interviews, agreeing objectives and managing performance;
*Facilities management – experience of dealing with landlords would be advantage;
* Customer services;
* Problem solving;
* Resource utilisation/teamworking – effective management of resources and redistribution of workload;
* Recruitment and selection;
* Project Auditing and System Audits;
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral). Ability to communicate at all levels within the business and promote networking with other Office Managers;
* Ability to administer financial matters and identify/implement cost savings;
* Advanced IT and word processing skills with a sound understanding of Microsoft office 2000, including Word, Excel, Internet and email;
* High level of numeracy/literacy;
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
